Barack and Michelle Obama

Obama's divorce story hit the internet on Thursday. Apparently Barack and his wife, Michelle, were on the brink of a split back in 2000, this according to a new biography written by author, Edward Klein.
According to Klein, Mr. and Mrs. Obama were at odds after the election for Chicago House of Representatives. Barack did not win the election though warned in advance by his wife. The strain that the election and the aftermath placed on Barack and Michelle's marriage was said to be significant enough to break their bond. However, the story may or may not be true.
"Ed Klein has a proven history of reckless fabrication in order to sell books. Nobody in their right mind would believe the nonsense in this one," said Eric Schultz, a rep for the President (via Huffington Post).
The Obama divorce story is getting a lot of attention today. Since this isn't the first time that rumors of a troubled marriage have hit the White House, many are wondering if there have been ripples in Barack and Michelle's marriage over the past 20 years. It seems as though every marriage has its fair share of ups and downs, but when a couple talks about divorce, the dynamic of the relationship can change. Whenever Mr. and Mrs. President are together, they seem more in love than the day before... but could it be that their almost splits in the past have made them stronger moving toward the future?
Obama's divorce story will be one major selling point of Klein's novel, The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House,which hits bookstores on Tuesday. As of present day, Barack and Michelle don't seem to be having problems, but no one really knows what goes on behind closed doors... not even Edward Klein despite his claims.
