God Will Anoint You For Battle

s we all know, and as we explained to you in our article titled, “Trials and Tribulations – The Testing of Your Faith,” most people in this life will have to face a certain amount of trials and tribulations, and this includes every single Christian.

In the above article, we give you all of the main verses from the Bible as to why this has to occur even to Christians who are fully serving the Lord and walking in His perfect will for their lives.

In this article I want to point out and highlight for you, that even though we all have to go through a certain amount of trials and tribulations in this life, God will still be with you and help you get through each storm cloud that will come into your life. God will not leave you, forsake you, or turn His back on you just because you have fallen into the middle of a severe trial.

He Is - A Refuge

In ancient times people often sought personal revenge for a murder, even if the homicide was unintentional. So God provided a safe haven for those who killed someone accidentally—a city of refuge where the offender would be protected from the avenger until a trial could be held.
How often we need that place of refuge! 

Intentionally or not, we sin all the time. 

We harbor angry, murderous thoughts. We lash out with our words. We cut someone else down to build ourselves up. 

Thank God that he provides a safe haven for us—Jesus, our living city of refuge.

In the Midst

Wednesday, five o'clock, for most people in Jackson this time marks the end of a hard workday, but for me it was only halfway to what would lead to the longest day of my life.

Eric, my husband, was going to meet me at the land where we were building our new house. I was driving to Mother's to pick up our four-year old daughter, Ericka, as she was at that age, as she loved to help with everything.

After picking Ericka up from Mother's we drove off to "The Land" as we called it. Eric and I were one of four couples, all friends, who came together and bought around a hundred acres of undeveloped woods to build our homes. At this time we were in the process of building our new house.

Halfway listening to Ericka's stories about her day I began to doubt whether "The Land" is where God wanted us to stay. There had been two brush fires recently, both coming within twenty yards of the house. Was God telling us to move? I questioned this to a co-worker, but her reply was that God had His hand of protection upon us. If He didn't then the house would've been consumed by the brush fires.

Do you know that if you are a believer in Christ Jesus, you have been adopted into God’s family? Through faith in Jesus, God is now your heavenly Father and you are his daughter. In Ephesians 1:5 we read that, “he predestined us to be adopted as his sons (daughters) through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.” God was delighted the day He adopted you into His family.

God wants you to call Him “Abba”. Abba means “Daddy”. In Galatians 4:6 we read, “Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”Since you have the very Spirit of God residing within you, you can call out to Him in prayer by saying, “Abba, Father, Daddy”.

Romans 8:31 is a great Bible verse to reference when you're feeling down or like the world is falling apart around you. 


Even though we live in a fallen world with sin, as a Christian, God is definitely on your side. 


Turn to Him for protection, strength, and love at all times.
