No More Surprises

Written by Kenneth Copeland

"But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God" (1 Cor. 2:10).

God is not full of surprises. He's not an unpredictable being who likes to keep you guessing. Countless believers, however, have the idea He is.

"You just never know what God is going to do," they say. They base that idea on 1 Corinthians 2:9 which says, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." They interpret that scripture to mean that God is keeping secrets from His people.

But, praise God, He isn't!

In fact, verse 10 says He's given us His Spirit to reveal those secrets to us! He wants us to know everything that's on His heart.

Getting Through Hard Times

by Joyce Meyer

Are you going through a hard time? Maybe you recently lost your job, or you're dealing with a death in your family. Or maybe you're just not sure anything good in life can happen to you. Whatever you're dealing with, I want you to know that you're not alone and something good can come from the tough spot you're in right now. God promised.
Jesus experienced hard times too…the road to the cross was no small matter. But He had to decide to go through it. He even asked God if it was really necessary. (But we know how this amazing love story ended.)
Just like Jesus had to make a choice, you and I also have to decide to go through hard times.

Is Good Friday Really Good?

As we celebrate His resurrection, I like to look at how we go through our own hard times. I think we also go through our own private crucifixion and resurrection on a somewhat regular basis. Often I say "Friday always comes before Sunday."
Ever wonder why we refer to the day of Jesus' death as "Good" Friday, since it's a day that involved so much pain, agony and heartache? Well, it's because the result of this particular Friday—Christ's resurrection from the dead on Sunday—was good.

Facing Uncertainty

We often don’t appreciate our most basic abilities, like sight and hearing, until we lose them, temporarily or permanently. It seemed like a mundane day for Susan until she found herself rushed the to the hospital. The next few days gave her a lot to think about as she wondered if life would ever be the same. The uncertainty of her predicament made her realize how fragile our lives really are. Are you dealing with uncertainty? Do you need someone to talk to about it?

Where Do You Go From Here?

When Dorothy received the phone call, her mind was flooded with negative thoughts. What would she do if the worst happened? How would she cope? She had heard so many bad stories about what might come next. What uncertainty do you face right now? Would you like to talk with someone about it?

Children Always Suffer When Marriages Fail.

34 years on, I still bear the scars of my parents' divorce: New research shows children always suffer when marriages fail. Sadly all too true says Tanith Carey in this emotionally raw testimony

By TANITH CAREY

Even now, I can still remember the exact spot in my bedroom where my mother was standing as she announced she was divorcing my father.

My parents had been due to emigrate to Australia for a 'fresh start' after years of affairs, separations and recriminations.

I was ten so I still believed in 'happily-ever-afters'. I couldn't begin to comprehend the notion of a married couple splitting up — particularly my own parents. I told myself they would go on to reconcile and look after me in a sunny land full of koalas and kangaroos.
