While getting an eye exam recently, my doctor hauled out a piece of equipment that I hadn’t seen before. I asked him what the device was, and he responded, “I’m using it to take a picture of the inside of the back of your eye.”

I was impressed that someone had invented a camera that could do that. But I was even more impressed by what my doctor could learn from that picture. He said, “We can gather a lot of details about your current general health simply by looking at the back of your eye.”

1) Consider the wisdom of sending a dick picture. If the relationship she is seeking could be construed as a "dating" or "friendly" one, sending your dick at all is mega creepy. Dark Knight Rises review

Dam. Chris Nolan has really outdone himself. This was the best of the “Dark Knight Rises” movies. For those who don’t know about “Batman”, this movie is the epic conclusion of the “Dark Knight Rises” trilogy. (Dark Knight Rises Begins, Dark Knight Rises: The Dark Knight, and this movie, Dark Knight Rises: Dark Knight Rises) There is so much to say about this movie. I don’t know where to begin. First, the performances.

A lot of people were not expecting Anne Hathaway to do a great job as Catwoman, but I think she really gave an “amazing performance”. Her portrayal of Catwoman really combined the best of all the previous incarnations of the character; from Eartha Kitt, to Halle Berry to Michelle Feiffer. Not just Michelle Feiffer in Batman Returns but also Michelle Feiffer in Gangsta’s Paradise, both the movie Gangsta’s Paradise and her portrayal of the same character in the music video for Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise. All of that was in Anne Hathaway’s performance. Sometimes she would just take out a chair and sit on it backwards with a serious look on her face as she tried to turn Gotham’s street urchins away from crime.

For Teenage Girls, Facebook Means Always Being Camera-Ready

It used to be that the only people concerned about getting caught in grungy sweat pants, sans makeup, were starlets stalked by the paparazzi. But in today’s hyper-public Internet age, young teenagers are relentlessly living their lives camera-ready — and it’s not a pretty picture.

I first noticed this while looking over my 14-year-old son’s shoulder at photos of his “friends” on Facebook. Girls, in particular, seemed to be always posing — in some cases vamping — for the camera: hair swept back, hand on hip, dressed just so. In at least a few instances, they looked as if they were auditioning for a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, clad in bikinis that left little to the imagination.

Creating a persona via Facebook is nothing new. Kids have been doing this since the site was first launched eight years ago (and even before that with MySpace and LiveJournal). By carefully selecting their own profile pictures, making public comments, and curating the photos they post, younger teenagers have become quite adept at managing their image.
