The Rape of Asia
Golden lily was the codename given to a project instigated by the Japanese Imperial family. The aim of the project was to rape Asia of its precious metals and mineral resources to feed the industrial revolution back home and the wealth of the Imperial family.
In 1895 after the first Sino - Japanese war, Japan seized
Southern Manchuria and Formosa (Taiwan).
Japanese Yakuza gangsters used Manchuria for poppy production to subdue and further impoverish the local population.
Korea
In 1910 after decades of political interference and manipulation the Imperial Japanese army annexed Korea and the looting began in earnest, Palaces, Temples and Ancient Royal Tombs were ransacked, stripped bare of their gold, silver and bronze artifacts and works of art.
Eyewitnesses to the looting say they even stole doorknobs from private houses. Any metal that could be of use to the imperial economy was looted, graded and then melted into ingots for transfer by ship back to the motherland.
Women and girls were kidnapped from their families and forced to work as comfort women (prostitutes) to service the Japanese army. Men and boys were conscripted into the army or forced to slave labor on the imperial family's further expansion plans.
Nobody knows how much gold and precious metals were in Korea and China at the turn of the 20th century. The accumulated mass of thousands of years of collection and refining in a region of the world which is abundant in natural deposits can neither be guessed at nor confirmed ... for the best part of 40 years the Japanese transferred unhindered, the bullion by ship to the motherland, to be hidden in giant vaults underneath the Imperial palace and underground storage facilitys in the mountains around Tokyo
Nan king
After Korea, China again felt japans aggression when they occupied all of Manchuria in 1931. Six years later they launched a full-scale invasion of China. Slaughtering, raping, looting and burning wherever they went.
The Japanese had the utmost hatred for the Chinese and this racism fueled one of the most outrageous incidents of the Second World War. The rape of Nan king. Commanded by Imperial Prince Asaka (Emporeror Hirohito's uncle) the Imperial Japanese army slaughtered more than 369,000 civilians and prisoners of war and raped and mutilated 80,000 women over a period of 6 weeks . While the soldiers went about their bloodlust Specialist teams of looters stripped the ancient Capital City. The Japanese removed some 6000 tonnes of gold from Nan King's treasury alone and much more from the homes and offices of the leaders of Nationalist China

Singapore
On December 7th 1941 the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor and launch invasions of Thailand, Hong Kong, Burma, northern Borneo, Malaysia, Dutch East Indies, the Philippines and other Pacific islands. 2 months later. February 8th 1942 the Japanese attacked Singapore.
RISING SUN
Singapore at the time was part of the British Empire. Some 90,000 British, Indian and Australian troops, as well as ex-pats with no combat experience were enlisted into the peninsula's defense. 100,000 soldiers and ex pats of various nationalities were taken prisoner, some 9,000 of these unfortunates died building the Thailand to Burma railway.
Meanwhile back in Singapore 50,000 Chinese was ethnically cleansed by the marauding Imperial army. This event was to become known as the Sook Ching Massacre (The term Sook Ching is chinese and means "a purge through cleansing". This operation was overseen by a certain
General Tomoyuki Yamashita.

Philippine's
The Japanese entered the Philippines through the Lingayen Gulf, Luzon. The allies declared Manila an open city and withdrew to the Bataan peninsula and Corrigidor Island. Banks and treasuries in Manila emptied their vaults of gold and precious metals for transfer to the Manilta tunnel on the fortress island of Corregidor.
After five months of withering violence Corregidor fell to the Japanese in May 1941.
The surviving 100,000 soldiers and ex-pats were stripped naked, divested of their personal effects and forced marched from Bataan to San Fernando in blazing sunshine some 65 miles away. 14,000 died on route suffering the effects of battle fatigue, dehydration and malnutrition. Those who couldn't march any further were murdered on the spot.
The Japanese had no respect for the concept of surrender. Prisoners of war were treated to savage and deliberate cruelty, fed on a starvation diet, forced to work hard labor, often excavating caverns and tunnels in obscure locations throughout the Philippine Islands. Never to be heard from again...
Bataan
It became impossible in 1941 for the Japanese to transfer the bullion to Japan by ship due to American submarine activity in the South China Sea .So it was decided by Golden Lily to hide the gold, gems and other treasures in secret locations throughout the Philippines.

The Japanese were confident of holding on to the Philippines in the event of a peace treaty with the allies. So for the next two and a half years deep caverns (the size of Olympic gymnasiums) and intricate tunnel networks were dug by prisoners of war to facilitate the storage of the treasure. When each site was completed, the prisoners were either murdered or buried alive with the treasure. The final inventory and sealing of the tunnels was overseen by Imperial Prince's Takeda and Chicibu who visited each of the estimated 175 Imperial treasure sites.
