Phil 1:13-14 (KJV) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Forgetting those things which are behind...
Too often in life we can dwell on yesterday’s failures.
By dwelling on yesterday our conversation is always around what happened, what was, and why we are in the boat we are in today because of this situation or that situation.
Paul in this passage says "forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before"
To be successful in any area of our life we have to focus upon where we are going and reach out to this.
sure you may have failed many times in the past but your future is not destined to failure when you trust in Jesus.
In eternity you win as your prize is your heavenly inheritance.
On earth you have an earthly Father that cares about you and has promised to take care of your every need.
By faith you can rise above your present situation and press towards the goal and vision that God has for your life.
Be encouraged today and recognise that the Lord is on your side and He will make a way.
He loves you and all the power and glory is His and he delights in your prosperity and success.
Let this be a time where you come to know that all things are working together for good and it is this that you need to focus upon.
Get excited today and raise your level of expectancy.
Turn to God in faith and prayer and let Him inspire you for great things.
